Helping out an echidna in the new animal hospital today after it was handed in from being run over 🦔💛. Just doing an assessment when out of nowhere… the little bugger managed to wee straight into my mouth 🤢😂. Now I don’t know if anyone else out there can honestly say they’ve had an echidna wee in their mouth, but that’s definitely not one of my proudest moments 😅. Still, you get that on the big jobs when you’re working with wildlife. Hopefully I don’t catch some crazy disease and start grow

We’re crowning echidna babies with the honour of having the cutest name ever: puggles 🥺 An echidna only lays one egg at a time. When hatched, the little baby puggle feeds on milk secreted from patches in their mother’s pouch.
