Sir Nicholas Winton, who rescued almost 700 children headed for Nazi concentration camps, has died at the age of 106. He arranged for children to be evacuated from Prague and Vienna for a new life in Britain - but kept quiet about his heroics for half a century. | Channel 4 News

In 1988, Nicholas Winton appeared on the BBC TV show, “That’s Life,” unaware that the people in the audience were alive because of him. In 1939, Winton was a young British stockbroker who saved the lives of 669 Jewish children during the Holocaust. He never spoke of what he did and it remained a secret for 50 years until his wife discovered a scrapbook in the attic with the names, photos, and documents of the children he had saved. Sir Nicholas Winton passed away in 2015 at the age of 106. | Hum
